Are you Pregnant? Check for these top 10 signs of pregnancy

Wondering whether you are pregnant or not and if it’s time to take the test? Taking a pregnancy test too early may not always give you the most accurate results. So how do you really know if you are pregnant or not, even before you take the urine test? Here is a list of pregnancy signs and symptoms that start showing up even before you get a positive result on home pregnancy test kits!

Here are the top 10 pregnancy signs that may be a good indicator of whether or not you are expecting. The more signs you have, the more reason you will have to believe you are pregnant.

Top 10 pregnancy signs which indicate that you are pregnant

  1. Tender breasts – This is often one of the earliest signs. Your breasts will feel too sensitive to touch. You may suddenly feel they are fuller, and getting into your regular bra seems difficult.
  2. Darker nipples – The area around your nipples, called the areola, will get darker, and you will notice the circular area around your nipples is suddenly way darker than it ever was.
  3. Sudden fatigue – No matter how much rest and sleep you get, you will still feel tired and may want to spend the day in bed. This is mainly because of the change in hormone levels.
  4. Nausea – Suddenly, all those smells in the kitchen will make you want to throw up. You may find it difficult to cook, and even more difficult to eat. And yes, the term ‘morning sickness’ unfortunately does not mean it is restricted to just morning, but could be any time of the day or night.
  5. Increased urination – If you are pregnant, you will need to urinate more frequently and urgently. This is because your body will produce extra fluids now and make your bladder work more.
  6. Lower back pain – If you never had back ache before but now do, it means the ligaments around the area are loosening up. This is your body’s way of preparing for the baby.
  7. Abdominal pain – This also means that your uterus is stretching to make space for the baby.
  8. Bloating – You will find it difficult to get into your regular clothes. This is due to bloating, the way it happens when you get your periods.
  9. Mood swings – Happy, sad, excited, low, depressed, crying, irritated – you will switch through them all!
  10. Dizzy – You may feel light headed and that you are about to faint, and may have to sit down to avoid falling.
