Hand Foot and Mouth is a viral disease caused by Enterovirus. The disease is highly contagious and spreads easily through coughing and sneezing.

If you think that the child may have caught the hand, foot and mouth disease, please consult a doctor.

Your child’s food intake will be adversely impacted because of the disease.

Rashes in the mouth make swallowing difficult for the child. Salty or acidic food will aggravate the discomfort. Here are some foods that can be given to child suffering from HFM

      1. Coconut water
      2. Mashed Banana
      3. Steamed and pureed vegetables
      4. Biscuits dissolved in milk
      5. Kheer/Custard
